Quinta da Raza is a family business that has gone through four centuries, still to this day in the Teixeira Coelho family, nowadays in the hands of Diogo Teixeira Coelho, the fifth generation. Their commitment and dedication to the vineyard and to wine has fermented this passion and knowledge over time. Diogo Teixeira Coelho and family have an umbilical relationship and an ancestral legacy with the Quinta and the Basto Region where he has always lived. After the death of his grandfather Inácio Xavier de Barros Teixeira Coelho in 1987, he began his career as a winemaker and producer. The potential of the place and his passion for agriculture and the world's wines were some of the reasons driving his commitment, with enthusiasm and extreme dedication to the necessary wine restructuring of the farm the family had managed. Since then, he has devoted himself to the production of excellent wines, retaining his ancestors’ passion for this wonderful world and soon realizing the unique wine characteristics of the Basto region which, in an innovative and audacious way, he has been able to imprint on the character of Quinta da Raza wines.

Quinta da Raza's vineyards lie in the Basto sub-region, in the heart of the Vinho Verde region. The microclimate provided by the river Tâmega and the mountains surrounding Quinta da Raza, the richness of the native grape varieties, and the family’s experience and dedication result in wines with a distinct personality. Their Vinhos Verdes have their own identity and are elegant, fresh, well-balanced, and unique due to their heritage.

International Wines & Craft Beer will initially carry the Raza Pet-Nat Rosé and White and the Raza Rosé and White.
