Talk about a hidden gem! If you haven’t tried a wine from Corsica, you should. Yves Leccia has been making Corsican wines for over 30 years, personally tending over every aspect, from working the vineyards right up to bottling.
This I.G.P. Il de Beauté Rouge is Grenache and Nielluciu (a native Corsican grape).
Dark black cherry in color, lots of red fruits on the nose. Delicious palate, quite voluptuous but with structure and a very long finish.

Hey it’s Monday! Let’s check out a new wine for this new week!
Welcome to IWCB, @casa_piena
Y’all, this wine is realllllly good. It’s from a very small winery, owned by Gail and Carmen Policy (NFL fans should recognize that name), made by Thomas Rivers Brown (Cult Cali wine drinkers should recognize THAT name). This wine is 100% Napa Cab, and super yummy. The texture is amazing, if you think drinking cocoa-dark blackberry jam, smooth velvet ribbons is delicious. Not very much of this made, we got a few cases in ‘Bama! Get it while you can!
